Inside we have made the great addition of a raised stage for events, we plan to host live music at least once a month using the stage and new lighting / PA when we are again allowed to.
No juke box but we are privileged to have virtual guest DJs putting playlists of many different genres together for us to suit the many different tastes and times of day. These DJs come from the music business, creative arts and just good friends, and are also working on our own internet radio station being set up playing non-stop music from our library (‘thedukebox’ coming soon….)
When we are again allowed The Duke will be introducing bands and acts who have never played in Marlow before, from the breaking through to the established, with the addition of Party Nights being in the mix on a monthly basis.
As part of the refreshed décor to continue the music theme you will see over 450 black and white images of artists past and present on the walls and as part of rolling images on 2 screens.
The question is how many of the artists can you name?....
The first live band to be playing at The Duke will be a brilliant three piece rockabilly band, The Kopy Katz.
‘Hi- octane’ is an understatement, we can’t wait, they can’t wait to kick off The Duke’s live music events; but wait we have to until it is safe to do so and we can....
Tickets will be free, but limited numbers, so priority will be given to those subscribers on our mailing list;
As we can't bring them to you live yet, check out their video on YouTube!
